Surrey have signed Lancashire allrounder Jordan Clark on a three-year contract.

Clark, 27, will move counties at the end of the 2018 English summer after hitting more than 5,000 runs and taking over 150 wickets for the Red Rose in the years since his 2010 debut.

He adds extra firepower to an already potent Surrey squad, which will also include England white-ball bowler Liam Plunkett next season.

Clark said: "I have loved my time playing for Lancashire. It’s a very special club and it’s been an honour to represent the Red Rose for the last eight years.

"I would like to personally thank all of the coaches and cricket management staff that I have worked with, the players and staff at Emirates Old Trafford and the club’s members and supporters for all their support.

"I wish the club all the best moving forward."

Lancashire head coach Glen Chapple said: "We wish Jordan all the best for the next few years ahead.

"He has contributed well to the team since making his debut in 2010 and has put in some memorable individual performances here, including the hat-trick against Yorkshire last month."
