The India quick is unable to leave the bio-secure bubble for a scan without having to quarantine for seven days upon his return
Sunrisers Hyderabad remain in the dark over the full extent T Natarajan's knee injury which has sidelined him for the last two matches.
The 29-year-old was absent for the defeat to Mumbai Indians and victory over Punjab Kings due to the issue.
IPL bio-secure bubble rules state that arrivals must quarantine for seven days before joining up with their team.
It means that Natarajan cannot leave the bubble to undergo a scan on his troublesome knee without having to self-isolate upon his return - which would extend his absence.
"He obviously has got a sore knee," captain David Warner said following the nine-wicket win over Kings on Wednesday (April 21).
"Given the circumstances in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he obviously has to sit out for seven days; he has to go back into quarantine.
"We are just monitoring at the moment. The physios are doing their best to analyse from a face point of view. But he obviously has to go and have a scan at some point."
Sunrisers are next in action against Delhi Capitals on Sunday (April 25).
