How to watch the first Test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand, which begins on Wednesday in Galle

Sri Lanka welcome New Zealand for a two test series and the first day of the first test is underway at the Galle International Stadium.

The first Test begins on Wednesday, September 18 and runs until Thursday, September 23, with the second Test taking place in the same stadium from September 26.

The first ball of the day was bowled 10am local time (5.30am UK time) and fans can watch the game on UK TV, in Sri Lanka and in New Zealand.

In the UK the match is being shown on TNT Sports. If you do not have a subscription for TNT you can get a monthly pass here and watch the entire test series live.

The match is available on Sri Lanka's YouTube channel here. If you are outside the country you may not be able to access the video unless you use a VPN service.

The match is being shown on Sky Sports in New Zealand.

The first Test saw Sri Lanka win the toss and choose to bat. Kamindu Mendis scored 114 for the hosts as Sri Lanka recovered from a shaky start to end the day on 302 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Kusal Mendis scored a half-century before being caught by Daryl Mitchell.

Play will resume on day two at the Galle International Stadium with New Zealand hoping to clean up the remaining wickets and begin their first innings at the crease.

Sri Lanka: Dimuth Karunaratne, Pathum Nissanka, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Kamindu Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva (capt), Kusal Mendis (wk), Ramesh Mendis, Prabath Jayasuriya, Lahiru Kumara, Asitha Fernando.

New Zealand: Tom Latham, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell (wk), Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee (capt), Will O'Rourke.
