Dimuth Karunaratne will lead the squad which sees several regulars omitted and some old faces return to the fold
Sri Lanka have named their 15-man World Cup squad with the experienced Dinesh Chandimal missing out. The former captain has played in 146 ODIs for his country, amassing 3,599 runs in that time.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella, spinner Akila Dananjaya and batsmen Danushka Gunathilaka and Upul Tharanga also miss out.
The team will be captained by Dimuth Karunaratne. The 30-year-old has not played a one-day-international since March 2015 and averages just 15.83 with the bat.
