Sri Lanka men have announced a raft of changes to their T20 World Cup squad.

Allrounder Lahiru Madushanka has been ruled out having suffered a broken collarbone against South Africa last month.

The 29-year-old was named as part of the original group but has now been withdrawn.

In addition, the 2014 winners have added five players to their squad.

Pathum Nissanka, Minod Bhanuka, Ashen Bandara, Lakshan Sandakan and Ramesh Mendis have been called up, with the squad growing to 23. They must trim the party to 15 by October 10.

The team are due to depart for Oman on October 3 to ramp up their preparations.

Facing a preliminary group stage to qualify for the Super 12 phase, Sri Lanka kick-off their campaign on October 18 against Namibia.
