GEORGE DOBELL AT THE KIA OVAL: Elgar, the South Africa captain, looked in some discomfort after sustaining a blow to his right shoulder while batting
The South Africa team management are confident Dean Elgar will be fit for the deciding Test of the LV= Insurance series despite taking a blow in the nets.
Elgar, the South Africa captain, looked in some discomfort after sustaining a blow to his right shoulder while batting.
While he tried to continue with his session, he was clearly in pain and clutched an ice pack to the area.
A spokesperson for the South Africa team later confirmed he has sustained bruising but expressed confidence he would be fine for the Test which starts on Thursday.

Elgar and his side will be attempting to wrap up series victory when they meet England at the Kia Oval from Thursday (September 8).
The Proteas won the opening meeting at Lord's but were soundly beaten at Emirates Old Trafford in the second Test.
"This is what we live for as cricketers: series deciders," Keegan Petersen, the South Africa batsman, said.
"It's going to be thrilling," Petersen said. "There's a lot on the line for both teams and I think you're going to get a good game."
England are expected to make one change to their XI for the third game of the campaign, with Harry Brook replacing the injured Jonny Bairstow.
