Under blue skies, a commanding performance with both bat and ball saw St Paul's School make it back-to-back victories at Desert Springs
Scorecard
After two days of rain in Spain, Park View Academy and St Paul's finally locked horns, in a clash between two undefeated teams.
Under blue skies, a commanding performance with both bat and ball saw St Paul’s School make it two wins from two at Desert Springs.
Having won the toss, Park View elected to bowl first and made early inroads with Matthew Robinson - who claimed 4 for 3 against Kingswood School - picked up the big wicket of St Paul's skipper, Nikhil Malik for 4.
Jacob Jordan removed Amar Ali for 13 to leave the score at 24 for 2, but a 63-run partnership between Tamash Raaj (30 off 37) and Seb Jones (44 off 32) handed St Paul's control.
Opener Raaj played a steady hand for his 37-ball 30, while Jones showed intent from the off, hitting his fifth ball for six and striking back-to-back fours down the ground in the following over.
Robinson stood out again for Kingswood, taking 3 for 6, with 17 dot balls from his 20 in another excellent display.
Defending a strong total of 104, St Paul's bowled skilfully to restrict Park View to 67 for 7 and complete a 37-run win.
Yash Dhasmana removed F Collins and Ross Abdy early on, and finished with figures of 2 for 4 from his two overs.
Y Prasad claimed the wickets of Ethan Connolly and Robinson, on his way to figures of 2 for 8, while Rohan de Silva, Theo Katzenellenbogen and San Bhatia all took a wicket apiece.
