Arjun Bhardwaj's second half-century in as many games set up a 24-run victory for Shenfield High School which puts them in Sunday's final where they will face either Canterbury Academy or Rajasthan Royals Academy.

Bhardwaj's 62 off 43 underpinned an innings which saw Shenfield post 124 for 6 under the Spanish sun.

The left-hander had to go about his business without his opening partner Callum Berry, who reeled off an outstanding century against Rajasthan Royals Academy last time out. Together the pair put on 183 for the first wicket in a fine showing on Friday.

But there was to be no repeat for Berry who fell for 6, caught behind off Aayan Diddee's first ball in the third over of the innings.

Bhardwaj looked in great touch once again, striking an imperious six down the ground off the last ball of Diddee's first set of 10. Another towering six took him to 37 off 21 as another half-century looked inevitable.

When opener fell for 62 off 43, Shenfield were well placed on 89 for 3 with 26 balls to go.

Josh Kirkby added a handy 20 for No.4 as Shenfield found their way to 124 for 6 from their allotted 100 balls.

Arran Duguid showed early promise in the chase, hitting three successive fours off Adam Pryor's first over. Pryor though would take revenge two deliveries later, sending the opener back to the pavilion with 16 to his name.

Aidan Hincks played some lovely strokes down the ground as Westminster looked to stay in the fight but some knockout blows weren't far away.

Hincks and Dhruv Gupta added 38 for the second wicket but when the latter sent a leading edge to Bhardwaj off the bowling of Billy Roberts, the chase started to derail.

The wickets started to fall at a pace as Westminster fell from 75 for 3 to 100 all out - 25 shy of the required total.

Pryor recorded figures of 4 for 23 - including bowling Hincks for 32 - while it was a wicket each for Berry, Bhardwaj, Roberts and George Gorsuch.
