The World Cup runners-up will travel north of the border for the first time in 21 years next summer
Scotland will face New Zealand in a one-off one-day international next summer.
The two sides will face-off for the first time north of the border since the 1999 World Cup, when the Kiwis won by six wickets in Edinburgh.
Both nations last met in a 50-over contest during the 2015 World Cup when New Zealand prevailed by just three wickets in a thrilling encounter.
A venue for the game in June 2020 is yet to be confirmed but ticket details will be released before the end of the year.
"There is a close bond between our nations, and the clash in Dunedin during the 2015 Cricket World Cup was a special occasion marked fittingly by a closely-fought contest played in typically good spirit," said high performance manager Simon Smith.
"Having conquered the world No.1 team in 2018, this will be an excellent opportunity for our men to knock over the finalist from the last two Cricket World Cups and earn yet another win over an ICC Full Member."
Kyle Coetzer's side beat England in the summer of 2018 by six runs and will be hoping to land another major scalp next year.
The news comes ahead of a key period for Scottish cricket, with the T20 World Cup qualifier due to take place in the United Arab Emirates next month.
The 14-team event offers four direct places for the showcase competition in Australia next October. Scotland did qualify for the 2016 event but failed to progress beyond the first group stage.
