Runs for Nathan Farmer (35 off 25), Alex Chambers (24 off 25), and Alfie Haxton (28 off 13) set the platform for an Epsom College victory over Canford School in a clash which saw two teams with 100 per cent records from their first two fixtures meet at Desert Springs.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Epsom made it count with some impressive technique on show as they made their way to 124 for 6, with Haxton’s rapid 28 including two fours and a six.
For Canford, Oscar Bailey was the most economical with the ball, taking figures of 1 for 15 from his four overs, including 10 dot balls.
His team’s reply got off to the the worst possible start with George Guirdham bowled first ball by Jack Martin.
Dill Howell fell caught & bowled to Ralphie Albert to leave Canford 18 for 2 before Ben Jack and Sam Martin started the rebuild. The pair gave Canford hope as Jack twice cleared the boundary, however, when he fell for 35, the chase lost all momentum and Epsom turned the screw to force a 43-run victory.
It was yet another fine performance from Epsom, who have now recorded three straight wins in the tournament and maintain their position at the table’s summit.
