An impressive all-round performance saw Canterbury Academy make it three straight wins and cruise into the semi-finals as group winners.

Harry Roberts, Henry Goss, Ben Burgess and Josh Julian all made useful scores as Canterbury posted 175 for 4 - the highest innings total of the competition so far.

It was a score that would prove more than enough, as Westminster's response struggled for momentum, eventually succumbing to a 109-run defeat.

Aryaman Gupta bowled with good pace and had Emile Haratbar caught behind with the first ball of his spell to leave Canterbury 6 for 1, but then the runs started to flow.

Harry Roberts looked in good touch, punishing anything full as Canterbury moved to 38 for 1 at the end of the powerplay. He'd fall three runs short of his fifty, on the receiving end of a tight-run out call, with Aayan Diddee doing the work for Westminster in the field.  Roberts' 26-ball 47 included five fours and two sixes.

Opener Henry Goss played nicely for his 39 (33), starting steadily before cutting loose, including a sequence that saw him move from 17 to 29 in the space of three balls.

Ben Burgess added 26 to the total and Josh Julian provided the fireworks, smashing 14 off his first three balls faced.

Julian would finish 31 not out (11), striking four fours and two sixes for a strike-rate of 281.82.

Jai Gupta went wicketless but led the way in terms of economy rate for Westminster, going for 5.50 an over from his four.

Dhruv Gupta accounted for the wickets of Haratbar, Burgess and Goss to finish with figures of 3 for 32 from his four overs.

Jai Gupta (16) top-scored in the chase and produced a real moment of class with a beautifully-executed reverse-sweep for four before falling caught & bowled to the fourth ball of Harry Fulton's first over.

Will Cook produced an excellent two-over spell, bowling two maidens and picking up the wicket of Arran Duguid, caught by Fergie Conway when looking to go on the attack down the ground.
