Arjun Bhardwaj and Callum Berry produced a batting masterclass as Shenfield High School racked up a massive total in Friday's second fixture.

Berry takes the headlines, reaching a brilliant hundred off the final ball of the innings, but it was a magnificent partnership from the pair who put on 183 for the first wicket in a supreme performance.

Bhardwaj looked technically solid and was particularly classy through the offside. His fine effort (71 off 44) came to an end in selfless fashion, sacrificing his own wicket to get his partner, who was closing in on the milestone, back on strike.

Brilliant Berry

With three balls left in the innings, Berry was on strike needing eight to reach three figures. The pair looked for a rapid two but Bhardwaj found himself short of his ground returning for the second. Crucially though, it meant Berry remained on strike.

The penultimate ball of the piece went for four, taking Berry to 97*.

The final ball went aerial over mid-on but didn't have the legs to reach the boundary on the bounce, but luckily for Berry and Shenfield, the throw and pick-up were both off the mark to let Berry make the third run to bring up a high-class hundred off 57 balls.

Rajasthan's batters battled valiantly against strong opposition, batting through their overs but finishing well short on 80 for 7.

Billy Roberts, 1 for 7 off four overs, and Adam Pryor, 0 for 3 from three were particularly tight for Shenfield's attack, with nine players getting a bowl in total.

Ben Holland and George Gorsuch picked up two wickets apiece while Bhardwaj followed up his excellent innings by taking 1 for 1 off one over.
