What's the match?

Durban Super Giants host Pretoria Capitals in the next match of the SA20 in 2023.

When is it taking place?

The start of play is scheduled for 5.30pm local time (3.30pm GMT) on Friday, January 20.

Where is the match being played?

The game will be staged at Kingsmead in Durban.

Who's got the form?

Pretoria Capitals are riding high in top spot, winning three of their four matches to date. In their most recent outing, the Capitals crushed Joburg Super Kings by six wickets, chasing down 123 with 42 balls to spare thanks three wickets from Jimmy Neesham (3 for 9) and an unbeaten half-century from opener Phil Salt (52 off 30).

Durban Super Giants, meanwhile, have won two and lost two from their opening four matches. However, they are entering this clash off the back of a defeat after falling short in their chase of 170 against Paarl Royals.

These two sides are yet to meet in the SA20.

What's the key match-up?

Heinrich Klaasen has been a key figure with the bat for Durban Super Giants, scoring 36 (22), 50 not out (19) and 56 not out (39) in his past three outings. In the latter match, he came out to bat with his side floundering on 29 for 3 and single-handedly dragged them to within a dozen runs of victory - Wiaan Mulder was the only other player to pass 20.

The Super Giants are not short on batting quality, with Kyle Mayers, Quinton de Kock and Dwaine Pretorius among the players at their disposal, but Klaasen is the form batter and a player to be cautious of.

Removing him early will go a long way to helping the Capitals' hopes of victory.

What's the weather forecast?

Cloudy, heavy humidity, and temperatures hitting around 28 degrees Celsius at the start of play on Friday.

What is the team news?

Pretoria Capitals have opted for consistency of selection in their opening four matches, with 10 players featuring in every match. The only change to date saw Senuran Muthusamy make way for Migael Pretorius after their opening match and they're unlikely to alter a winning formula.

Durban Super Giants are yet to settle on a bowling attack, using 10 different bowlers in four matches.
