Pretoria Capitals take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the final of the SA20 in 2023.
The start of play is scheduled for 1.30pm local time (11.30am GMT) on Sunday, February 12. It was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 11 but was moved following heavy rain.
The game will be staged at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Pretoria Capitals have only lost three games in the inaugural SA20. Although they finished top of the table, their recent form has been a little patchy, with two defeats in their last five matches. That included a capitulation against Durban Super Giants, during which they were bowled out for just 103 chasing Durban's 254. They emphatically got through their qualifier knockout against Paarl Royals, though.
Their opponents in the final are Sunrisers Eastern Cape; a side that has made their route to the final anything but easy for themselves. Losing five of their 10 games, they finished in third due to their net run rate, after sharing the same points with the Royals and Super Giants.
However, in their semi-final against Joburg Super Kings, they smashed 213 off their 20 overs and then held their nerve with the ball to win by 14 runs.
Pretoria Capitals won both meetings with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the group stage, both having batted first and put big runs on the board.

Anrich Nortje gets another crack at the Sunrisers Eastern Cape batting lineup. The quick tops the wicket-taking charts in the SA20 with 18. His matchup against Sunrisers captain Aiden Markram could be intriguing. The South African batter has scored 340 runs in 11 games, with his hundred against Joburg coming in just 58 deliveries in the semi-final.
Left-arm spinner Roelof van der Merwe could hold the key with the ball for Eastern Cape. He has 16 wickets in nine games with best figures of 6 for 20. His ability to soak up runs in the middle of an innings and also sneak a quick over in the powerplay makes him a menace for the likes of Phil Salt and Kusal Mendis up top. However, with Proteas batter Rilee Rossouw coming off an impressive 56 in the capitals semi-finals van der Merwe will have his wicket on his mind.
Improving after a lot of rain in the week. Temperatures of no more than 22 degrees Celsius.
No major issues for either squad.
