The Cricketer runs through all the details you need to know ahead of the inaugural edition of the SA20, which kicks off in mid-January
South Africa's new major T20 competition, known as the SA20, will begin in January 2023.
On January 10, MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals will square off at Cape Town's Newlands stadium to kick off the inaugural SA20 tournament.
Each team will play 10 matches in the group stage prior to the playoffs, with a total of six teams competing in the first season.
On February 11, the final will take place at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Each club will play the opposite team twice throughout this time in the SA20 edition from 2023.

Six locations in Johannesburg, Centurion, Durban, Gqeberha, Paarl, and Cape Town will host the competition's maiden season.
The six teams involved in the inaugural season of SA20 are Durban Super Giants, Johannesburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Paarl Royals, MI Cape Town, Pretoria Capitals.
All six are owned by Indian Premier League franchises.
In a double round-robin home-and-away format, each team will face the other five teams twice.
The top-seeded team will face the fourth-placed team in the first semi-final following the conclusion of the league season. In the opposite semi-final, the teams that finished second and third will face off. The games will take place on February 8 and February 9, respectively, ahead of the final on February 11.

In India, Sports18 and Viacom18 Sports TV stations will broadcast the SA20 2023 live. The Voot and Jio TV app and website will both stream the SA20 2023 live. Sky Sports have bought the television rights to the tournament in the United Kingdom.
