The Cricketer runs the rule over the performances of all 22 players during South Africa and England men's third ODI in Kimberley...
England ended a five-game losing run in ODIs with a 59-run success against South Africa at Kimberley.
Here, The Cricketer rates the players' efforts out of 10...
SOUTH AFRICA
Temba Bavuma (35): Looked sharp with the bat yet again before chipping Chris Woakes to cover. Has scored well, and at a good rate, all series. Now goes back to No Man’s Land while the SA20 resumes. 6
Reeza Hendricks (52): A slow start, but Hendricks played a good hand at the top of the order, filling in for the rested Quinton de Kock. 7
Rassie van der Dussen (5): A rare ODI failure, thanks to a good catch by Jason Roy off Jofra Archer. 3
Aiden Markram (0-35 & 39): Lost his wicket to a mistimed hook just as he seemed to have played himself into a position to push for victory. Four costly overs of part-time spin. 6
Heinrich Klaasen (80): Electric innings, particularly impressive against spin. Could be argued he could have done more once set, but that South Africa got as close as they did was entire down to his knock. 8

David Miller (13): Typically boisterous introduction to the crease, with two of his first six balls going to the boundary. Was out off the seventh. 4
Marco Jansen (12 & 2-53): Alongside Ngidi, made batting appear nigh-on impossible in the powerplay. Read conditions well, and withstood the charge from England’s middle order when it came. Couldn't play a part with the bat. 6
Wayne Parnell (34 & 0-53): In the circumstances, pretty disciplined with the ball. Nearly pushed SA to a position to win the game with the bat alongside Klaasen. 7
Sisanda Magala (2 & 1-76): Erratic. Leaked runs and never looked to have a handle on the set England batsmen. 4
Lungi Ngidi (5* & 4-62): Proved almost impossible to play in his first spell, but was dispatched with disdain in his final burst. 7.5
Tabraiz Shamsi (1 & 0-61): Rather ineffective against England’s late burst in the final 20 overs of the innings. 5

ENGLAND
Jason Roy (1): A tame dismissal, misjudging an early cover drive. His century in the first ODI reminded us all of his class, but it already feels quite a time ago. Decent catch to dismiss Rassie van der Dussen. 3
Dawid Malan (118): Showed terrific temperament to turn a miserable position into one of strength, alongside his captain. With Alex Hales not involved, and Jonny Bairstow injured, Malan is making a push for a World Cup starting spot. 9.5
Ben Duckett (0): Another nothing shot outside off, on the back foot, brought a fine edge. Duckett has not made much of a case for an extended run during this series. Took the crucial catch, low at fine leg, to get rid of Klaasen. 3
Harry Brook (6): One of three England batsmen to get themselves out to Lungi Ngidi with weak shots early. Brook’s was an inside edge, not that it was any more forgivable. 3
Jos Buttler (131): Willing to hunker down and play his way through a treacherous 30 overs before unleashing at the death, this was another world-class knock from the skipper. 9.5

Moeen Ali (41 & 0-29): Came in late on to play the kind of cameo he was born to play, at one point even attempting a one-handed slap, table-tennis like, into the legside. It failed, he didn't. Two very expensive overs with the ball. 7.5
Sam Curran (11 & 0-50): A short burst with the bat, not much impact with the ball. 5
Chris Woakes (9* & 1-51): A pretty low-key day for Woakes, who claimed the important wicket of Bavuma before the in-form South Africa captain could get going. 6
Adil Rashid (11* & 3-68): On the face of it, a little expensive. But bowled with typical guile and a complete lack of fear. Valuable wicket of a set Hendricks at a good time. 6.5
Jofra Archer (DNB & 6-40): Gosh, this was an exciting performance from England's returning hero. Bowled with genuine pace at times, but tempered that with intelligent lines. South Africa's bottom order were scared at the death. Class. 9
Reece Topley (DNB & 0-48): When your new-ball colleague takes six wickets, there's not a lot left for you. 5
