The final of the 2022 Royal London Cup, the domestic 50-over tournament for men's professional counties in England and Wales.

When is the game?

The match is set to take place on Saturday, September 17, with an 11am BST start time.

Where is it?

Trent Bridge in Nottingham will host the final.

Who is playing?

Kent and Lancashire will contest the final.

How did they get there?

Kent finished third in their group stage, before beating Leicestershire and Hampshire in the knockout rounds.

Lancashire finished second in the same group, and saw off Nottinghamshire and Sussex in the quarter-final and semi-final. 

Who is in the squads?

Kent have avoided the urge to include any players who were involved in The Hundred. Darren Stevens, the veteran allrounder, will play his final game for the county at the age of 46. 

Rob Jones has recovered from an ankle injury in time to be included in the Lancashire squad.

Will the match be on TV?

Yes, Sky Sports Cricket will carry live coverage of the final.

The ECB website will carry a live stream which will be accessible for those signed up to the We Are England Cricket supporters' club. 

Radio coverage will come in the form of updates on BBC 5Live and Sports Extra. BBC local radio will have full commentary, which will also be available via the BBC website. 

The Cricketer will have comprehensive match coverage and reaction from Trent Bridge. 

What's the weather forecast?

It's not going to be warm. The Met Office suggests temperatures will struggle to get above 16 degrees Celsius, but the chance of rain is very low so a full day's play should be possible. 

What are the odds? 

Lancashire are the heavy favourites for this one, with a best price of 8/11 available with the bookmakers. Kent, as outsiders, are as long as 5/4 in places.

What happens if it's a tie?

If the game finishes in a tie, the Royal London Cup playing conditions stipulate that wickets lost will be the determining factor.

If both sides have lost the same number of wickets and scored the same number of runs at the conclusion of the game, the winner will be decided by the most runs after 10 overs. If still level, the number of runs after nine overs and so on.
