The 27-year-old has made 28 List A appearances across his career, scoring 710 runs at 41.76, and contributed 285 runs at 71.25, including three half-centuries, in six innings as Lancashire reached the One-Day Cup final in 2022

Rob Jones has joined Worcestershire on loan for the entirety of their One-Day Cup campaign.

Earlier in July, he turned down a new contract with Lancashire in favour of a three-year deal with Worcestershire, citing his desire to play regular first-team cricket.

Following the contract announcement, Lancashire confirmed Jones would not feature for the first-team again in 2023.

Jones is in line to make his Worcestershire debut against Shropshire on July 30.

The 27-year-old has made 28 List A appearances across his career, scoring 710 runs at 41.76, and contributed 285 runs at 71.25, including three half-centuries, in six innings as Lancashire reached the One-Day Cup final in 2022.

Worcestershire CEO, Ashley Giles, said: "We are thrilled to have Rob on board for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup ahead of his permanent move for the 2024 season onwards.

"His inclusion will undoubtedly strengthen our batting line-up, and we believe he will make a substantial impact.

"It's also a great opportunity for Rob to get to know his new teammates and coaches before joining us permanently."

Worcestershire finished bottom of Group B in last year's 50-over competition, winning just two matches from a possible eight.
