Derby: Derbyshire 206Kent 207-7 - Kent win by three wickets

Jack Leaning's unbeaten 81 from 117 balls guided Kent to a thrilling three-wicket victory over Derbyshire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup game at Derby.

Kent were sliding to defeat at 106 for 6 chasing 207 with Samit Patel taking 3 for 30 but Leaning and Grant Stewart's 48 from 39 balls revived them.

Leaning and Matt Parkinson then added 33 from 43 balls to see Kent over the line with 28 balls to spare at 207 for 7.

Brooke Guest made 85 from 117 balls, sharing an eighth wicket stand of 75 with Harry Moore who made a career-best 40 to take Derbyshire to 206 with Parkinson claiming 3 for 23.

Gosforth: Durham 257Hampshire 113 Durham win by 144 runs

Colin Ackermann's recovering 96 plus ex-New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner's impressive all-round contribution maintained Durham's Metro Bank One-Day Cup hopes as they beat Hampshire by 144 runs at Gosforth.

Ackermann led the fightback from 183 for seven to 257 all out, hitting five sixes in 98 balls, while debutant overseas signing Wagner added 33 before taking two for 18 from six overs with the new ball as Hampshire slumped to 113 all out.

Hampshire, started the day second in Group A with four wins from five games but suffered a second defeat, while Durham won for the third time in six to maintain their hopes of a top-three finish for knockout qualification. Seamer Paul Coughlin also struck three times.

Wagner, 38-years-old, has signed a short-term deal with Durham for the remainder of the season. This was his first appearance of any kind since his 64th and final Test, at home against South Africa, in February.

Taunton: Worcestershire 263, Somerset 267-5 - Somerset win by five wickets

Lewis Goldsworthy led the way with 95 as Somerset boosted their chances of reaching the knockout stage of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup with a convincing five-wicket win over Worcestershire at Taunton.

The Rapids were bowled out for 263 in 47.3 overs after losing the toss, Tom Taylor lifting a limp batting display with 73, off 65 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Ben Green claimed 3 for 58.

In reply, Somerset reached 267 for 5 with 5.3 overs to spare, Goldsworthy hitting his runs off 108 deliveries, with nine fours and a six, while James Rew contributed 70 and Andy Umeed 44. Left-arm spinner Fateh Singh returned career-best List A figures of 4 for 52.

Group B

Trent Bridge: Nottinghamshire 332, Gloucestershire 333-3 - Gloucestershire win by seven wickets

Miles Hammond's brilliant 157 was the highlight as Gloucestershire chased down a 333-run target to beat Notts Outlaws by seven wickets at Trent Bridge to keep themselves in contention for a quarter-final place in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.

Outlaws skipper Haseeb Hameed hit his second century of this year's competition, sharing partnerships of 129 with Lyndon James (61) and 80 with Tom Moores (40) as Nottinghamshire were bowled out for 332 in 49.3 overs, the wickets shared among all seven bowlers used by Gloucestershire, left-arm spinner Graeme van Buuren taking 3 for 40.

But Gloucestershire built on a 151-run opening partnership between Hammond - who hit 22 fours and five sixes – and Cameron Bancroft (52), supplemented by Ollie Price's unbeaten 61 as they eased home with 20 balls to spare.

Chelmsford: Surrey 306-4, Essex 217 - Surrey win by 89 runs

Josh Blake registered a sensible run-a-ball century to carry Surrey to their second Metro Bank One-Day Cup victory of the season at Chelmsford.

The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman was given a life on 40 when Luc Benkenstein floored a chance at deep square leg, but having come in at 53-3 after 14 overs, had doubled his previous highest score and was still there on 100 not out when Surrey closed on 306 for 4.

Blake put on 98 in 20 overs for the fourth wicket with opener Ryan Patel (83 from 106 balls) and then an unbroken 155 in 16 pulsating overs for the fifth with the hard-hitting Ollie Sykes, who hit five sixes in an unbeaten 87 from 56 balls.

Defeat meant neither team could qualify for the knock-out stages and Essex never looked likely to record their second win of the tournament. Only captain Tom Westley offered much resistance with 78 from 84 balls as dispirited Essex fell 90 runs short of their target with more than three overs unused.
