Opening batter and wicketkeeper Seren Smale made her debut for Thunder in September 2021, aged 16, and went on to score 25 runs in Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophy appearances.
The North Wales-native made a further two List A outings in 2022, scoring her maiden half-century against Western Storm and also sharing a club-record opening stand with Deandra Dottin.
Though she is yet to make her Charlotte Edwards Cup bow, Smale was selected to represent England at the Under-19s Women's T20 World Cup, scoring 121 runs at a strike rate of 124.74, including a player of the match-winning performance against Pakistan.
Smale has represented Cheshire, Cumbria and Lancashire at county level and was awarded a professional contract ahead of the 2023 season.
She classes Alyssa Healy and Jos Buttler as her cricketing heroes and played tennis at national level as a junior.
