Her career has been plagued by injuries but there can little doubting Katie George's talents.
The left-arm seamer made her international debut against Australia as an 18-year-old, having taken a hat-trick against India A in a warmup match ahead of the series. However, she's only added half a dozen caps since, with back problems halting her progress.
Growing up, George was introduced to the work of Wasim Akram by her father, a big cricket fan, but could also have become a footballer, playing for Portsmouth and England at age-group level.
She made her debut for Hampshire as a 14-year-old and has also represented Southern Vipers, Yorkshire Diamonds (both KSL), Western Storm (regional) and Welsh Fire (The Hundred).
George swapped Western Storm for Central Sparks ahead of the 2023, signing professional terms with the West Midlands side after losing her central contract.
