Thanks to her parents managing a cricket club bar, Ami Campbell first picked up a bat aged five and hasn't looked back since.
Coming through the Northumberland setup, where she captained Mark Wood at Under-11s, Campbell represented both Yorkshire and Durham before joining Northern Diamonds in 2020.
That season, she scored 70 runs as Diamonds reached the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final at Edgbaston – an occasional she describes as a career highlight – before more than tripling her haul in 2021 to once again help her side to the final.
The big-hitting middle-order batter also made three Charlotte Edwards Cup appearances in 2021 before taking up a professional contract with Central Sparks and moving to Worcestershire on loan.
In 2022, she scored 74 T20 runs and 89 List A for Sparks, and will be hoping to return to her best in her second season in the Midlands.
Away from cricket, Campbell is a personal trainer and sports therapist, and enjoys cycling, travelling and going to the beach.
