Alex Hartley is a 32-cap international and a member of England's 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup-winning squad.
The spinner, originally from Blackburn, joined the Lancashire academy in 2008 and worked her way through the ranks before representing Lancashire, Middlesex, Surrey Stars and Lancashire Thunder at senior level.
Hartley captained Thunder in 2020 and 2021 before handing over to Ellie Threlkeld, and enjoyed her most prolific season in 2022, taking 10 wickets in four Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy outings and a further six wickets in the Charlotte Edwards Cup. In List A cricket for Thunder, she has is yet to take fewer 10 wickets in a season and has maintained an economy below 4.
Off the field, Hartley hosts a podcast – No Balls – with teammate Kate Cross and works as a commentator across the BBC.
