Three PSL positives for Covid-19 but tournament to continue unaffected
England international Tom Banton is self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 while playing in the Pakistan Super League.
The 22-year old, who has nine runs in two appearances for Quetta Gladiators, confirmed his positive test on Twitter and is currently following the isolation protocols set out by Pakistan Cricket Board.
On March 1, Islamabad United’s match against Gladiators was postponed for 24 hours after Fawad Ahmad was revealed to have tested positive for Covid-19.
Karachi Kings fielding coach, Kamran Khan, is also isolating after recording a positive test.
Addressing fans on social media, Banton said: "Thanks a lot for all the messages and well wishes. Unfortunately, I have received a positive Covid-19 test yesterday and I am now isolating and following the PSL protocols.
