Qalandars made the third-highest score in PSL history as they ran riot in Lahore
Lahore: Lahore Qalandars 241-3, Peshawar Zalmi 201-9, Lahore Qalandars win by 40 runs
A Fakhar Zaman blitz gave Lahore Qalandars victory in a run-fest against Peshawar Zalmi as they picked up their third win of the Pakistan Super League season.
Zaman smashed 10 sixes in his 96 off 45 balls; he was well supported by Abdullah Shafique, who was equally brutal for his 41-ball 75.
Sam Billings, making his Qalandars debut after a single-game stint in the Bangladesh Premier League, added an unbeaten 47 as Lahore racked up 241 for 3, the third-highest score in PSL history.
They hit 18 sixes and 15 fours as only Arshad Iqbal escaped severe punishment. Jimmy Neesham's three overs cost 42 and Rovman Powell's two overs cost 37; Wahab Riaz picked up two of the three Qalandars wickets to fall.
Peshawar gave as good as they got in response but ultimately fell comfortably short.

Saim Ayub (51) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (55) led that riposte, putting together a 91-run stand for the third wicket in just 7.2 overs after both Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris both fell to Shaheen Shah Afridi inside the first three overs.
The game was still alive while they were going strong – Kohler-Cadmore's 23-ball knock included five sixes and three fours – but their dismissals to Rashid Khan and Haris Rauf put the skids on despite the efforts of Powell and Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
Rashid was strangely expensive, conceding 49 runs in four overs, but Afridi ran through the lower order to end with the unusual figures of 5 for 40 after Zaman Khan had accounted for both Rajapaksa and Powell to end the game as a contest, with Zalmi finishing 201 for 9.
