The former South Africa opener will be among Mohammad Akram's backroom team for the competition, helping batsmen including Imam-ul-Haq, Liam Livingstone and Tom Banton
Peshawar Zalmi have added Hashim Amla to their coaching team for the Pakistan Super League.
The ex-South Africa opener will work with the batsmen and also act as a mentor for the squad during the competition, which gets underway on February 20.
Amla scored 4,292 runs across his domestic T20 career at 30.65. He stepped away from international cricket earlier in the year to focus on white-ball cricket.

Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq and English pair Tom Banton and Liam Livingstone are among those who will benefit from Amla's words of wisdom.
Darren Sammy captains the side as Storm go in search of their first PSL title since 2017.
They have finished as runners-up in the last two editions, losing to Islamabad United in 2018 and Quetta Gladiators last year.
This year sees the fifth edition of the PSL played entirely in Pakistan for the first time in its history.
