The Islamabad United opener has pulled out for "personal reasons" after scoring 255 runs in seven matches for the two-time champions
Islamabad United have suffered a major blow with the news opener Alex Hales has withdrawn from the remainder of the competition.
The English opener has pulled out of the seventh edition of the franchise tournament for "personal reasons".
"We wish him very best of luck for his future," a statement from the management read.
Geo News understand the 33-year-old's decision is linked to bubble fatigue.
Hales had enjoyed a fine start to the PSL, scoring 255 runs - the most of any overseas player - in seven matches.

He scored 25 in the one-run victory over Karachi Kings on Monday (February 14).
The two-time winners are currently third in the PSL table with three group games remaining.
Due to the past two editions being affected by Covid outbreaks which forced postponements, the conditions around players and staff were strengthened this year to avoid further problems.
As well as limits on contact and a rigorous testing regime, a range of punishments, from fines to expulsion from the competition, could be enforced if rules are broken.
