David Cartledge - Flintham Cricket Club

David Cartledge has been a member of Flintham Cricket Club for almost 70 years. He joined at 11 and still plays an active part in the running of the club.

His seven decades have seen him as a player, captain, umpire as well as maintenance roles (both ground and building) and he is currently the club chairman.

He can often be found mowing the outfield, repairing the nets, putting out the advertising boards, filling in a dyke and planting a hedge. He involves everyone in cricket.

Nick Gandon - Hoddesdon Cricket Club/Moreton-in-Marsh CC

Nick Gandon has made an outstanding contribution to the game of cricket over many years. He has coached teams as a schoolmaster at both Uppingham School and his alma mater, Haileybury College. He worked at "Chance To Shine", the esteemed cricket charity, tirelessly raising funds. He has taken over the mantle of the cricket charity work of his dear friend, the late Simon Prodger. Nick has served on the MCC Committee, always keeping an eye out for opportunities to grow the game at grassroots level. He also served Hoddesdon CC in Hertfordshire.

Aaron Freind - Eastry CC

Aaron has kept Eastry Cricket Club running single-handed over the last five years. Without him, another village team would have died. He organises everything, recruits players and looks after the finances. He dedicates a big portion of his life to giving others the opportunity to play cricket - but never seeks any kind of recognition.

Emerson Whitworth - Milnrow Cricket Club

Above and beyond works out of hours for the club keeping the cogs at the mill greased and constantly turning.

Richard Edwards - Sparsholt Cricket Club

Since stopping playing he is voluntarily at the ground most days (driving nearly 40 mins both ways ) and the club would be lost without him. From cleaning, painting, carpentry, stocking the bar, pavilion upkeep and repairs, machinery upkeep, putting up fences, ground maintenance, upkeep and repairs (building, mowing, leaf collection, drainage etc) as well as dealing with suppliers and contractors.

He does it all to a very high standard which he also expects of others.

Daniel Travers - Eastcote CC

Expanding Eastcote CC's online presence with creative and witty designs/captions to attract new talent and showcase existing talent. Playing a major role in the club's push to reach the goals set out under the current project (including scoring a mammoth 120 and taking some seriously good catches along the way). All whilst dealing with personal health issues following the pandemic. A seriously commendable young man with heaps of talent and love for his boyhood club.
