As well as the sterling work Clive has done as player, captain and groundsman at Little Stoke, he ran an excellent cricket quiz at the club in the late 1980s and early 1990s - Clive is cricket through and through and the club has prospered over many years through his efforts and hard work.
Posted by KIM STUART BECKETT on 03/10/2022 at 11:20
My first Captain, My best Captain ever, a true gentleman. Mr Little Stoke. I umpire in the NSSC league and players elderly and young ask where I played my cricket. When I say Little Stoke all say how is Clive Finney doing. A true Legend and well deserving of recognition.

Rob is what the club is all about . He works hard to ensure the club is inclusive and fosters the approach to allow youth players are signposted to adult teams and allows them to thrive . His enthusiasm is infectious and I for one pray he gets the credit he deserves, he goes under the radar somewhat so this is amazing that he's been nominated. Keep up the great work Franksie !

I’ve known Neal through umpiring many times at Bacup and his dedication to the club shone through every time. I have an abiding memory of his prowess as a batsman as well, supporting the Pro Shaun (China) Young in a 50 partnership once - Neal’s contribution (batting in his usual No 11 spot) was a magnificent 0 not out! He defended brilliantly to enable China to get the runs Bacup needed.

Posted by Keith Clegg on 21/09/2022 at 15:00
Jason's been a hero for many years and would fully deserve of the title Hero of the year
Posted by John Nicholson on 21/09/2022 at 14:18
Jason is a massive asset to Hadfield Cricket Club, he puts in a lot of work before and after his full time job all for the love of the club. He is on the ground early in the morning and often the last one to leave. On match days he is there 6 hours before the start and then nips home for his whites to play, he then preps the ground after the game. None of this was asked or assigned to him, he has taken this on by himself to help the club out.
Posted by Cameron Ball on 21/09/2022 at 13:38
Jason is a true Hadfield st Andrews Club Hero Without the tremendous hard work & volunteering he dedicates to the club we would not be where we are today. As 1st team Captain I can personally say without the work Jason has done on & off the field we would not have gained promotion this season. On countless occasions he has prepared , mopped up , set up the tracks for us. And that just the start of everything he does. I can safely say he makes life on Saturday a lot simpler for myself with the work he puts in through the week All in all the club couldn’t ask for a better club hero 👏
Posted by Chris Tranter on 21/09/2022 at 13:12
Jason's contribution to the running of Hadfield St Andrews has been nothing short of magnificent. From very early morning's (before his full time paid work) and after he has finished his shift, every single day he is on our ground, preparing wickets, marking rolling, ensuring general maintenance and cleaning tasks are done. All voluntary and with an energy and drive that has to be seen to be believed. An out and out exceptional individual who has the gratitude of everyone within the club.
