Without exception every player I've heard interviewed on this subject sees test cricket as the ultimate test of their skill sets. Only the administrators seem keen to obliterate the format by saturating the calendar with more anonymous white ball encounters, the vast majority of which are over long before the final over, so as matches have limited entertainment value.
