Pakistan's left-arm seamer is on track to recover from a knee injury in time for their opening game against India at the MCG on October 23.
Pakistan look set to have Shaheen Shah Afridi available for the start of the men's T20 World Cup against India.
The left-arm seamer is recovering from a right knee ligament injury which forced him to miss the Asia Cup and the England T20Is.
Afridi, who has 47 wickets in 40 20-over matches for Pakistan, was included in the World Cup squad subject to achieving full fitness.
PCB chair Ramiz Raja has provided an update regarding his progress and expects him to return in the warm-up matches - Pakistan face England and Afghanistan - ahead of their tournament opener on October 23 in Melbourne.

"I spoke to Shaheen Shah Afridi two days ago," he told Dawn News. "He is making great progress, and the doctors sent me his videos.
"He is at 90 per cent now, and they think that he will be battle-ready.
"Knee injuries are technical and sensitive, so our opinion was that until he isn't 110 per cent, we won't risk him.
"But when I spoke to him, he said he is already at 110 per cent. He told me that he will go to play the practice matches and be ready for India."
