Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the remainder of the side's pre-season camp after being diagnosed with dengue fever.

The 19-year-old, who figured in Pakistan's World Cup campaign and took 16 wickets in the tournament in England and Wales, was admitted to a local hospital in Lahore on Wednesday and is being treated by specialists, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed.

Meanwhile, the PCB also stated that Fakhar Zaman is yet to resume training again after picking up an injury to his right knee.

The 29-year-old, who had a T20 Blast stint with Glamorgan this summer, underwent MRI scans yesterday, which will now be examined by the PCB Medical Advisory Panel, following which a decision on his participation in the camp will be made.

Pakistan's heavy international schedule begins next month with a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
