The second-ever female to hold the position in the club's history will succeed Derek Taylor at Canterbury
Kent have confirmed Yvonne Neame will become the club's president for 2022.
The life-long Spitfires fan will succeed Derek Taylor at the end of next year.
Championing cricket development in schools and clubs across the county is among Neame's objectives during her tenure.
Vice-admiral Sir Timothy Laurence occupies the role this year until Taylor takes over from January 1, 2021.
"It is a great honour to be appointed Kent cricket’s president for 2022," said Neame. "As a passionate supporter of Kent cricket for many years, I have seen the contribution that cricket makes to life in the county.
"I am particularly excited to see how many more girls are now playing the game in clubs and schools across the county and I am particularly looking forward to doing all I can to support the club’s effort in this area."
Taylor added: "I am thrilled that Yvonne has accepted the invitation to become our president for 2022. Her passion for cricket and her relationship with community groups across the county of Kent will make her an exceptional ambassador for the club during 2022."
