The 33-year-old batter has spent his entire career with Essex, scoring over 15,000 runs in nearly 400 appearances across the formats
Essex captain Tom Westley has committed his future to the club after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract extension.
Westley, who has spent his entire career with Essex, has made nearly 400 appearances across all formats since making his debut in June 2006, scoring over 15,000 runs.
He was named captain ahead of the 2020 season, winning the Bob Willis Trophy (2020) and LV= Insurance County Championship Division Two title (2021).
The 33-year-old, who earned five Test caps for England in 2017, previously lifted the County Championship title with Essex in 2017 as well winning Division Two twice (2013 and 2016) and the T20 Blast (2019).
In 2022, Westley made 14 appearances in the County Championship, scoring 641 runs (four half-centuries). He added a further 335 runs, including two centuries, in seven Royal London Cup outings and 188 runs (two half-centuries) in the T20 Blast.

Commenting on his new contract, Westley said: "I'm thrilled to be staying at Chelmsford and I'm excited about what the next three years have in store.
"It was an easy decision for me to make. We have an extremely talented squad full of high-quality players and I feel we have a team that’s capable of competing for trophies across all three formats.
"It's also a special club to play for. I've said it countless times, but I genuinely believe Essex have the best members and fans in the country.
"The support they show us week in week out is phenomenal and it's a pleasure to play for them, and I hope that over the next three years, we can reward them with more silverware."
Head coach, Anthony McGrath, added: "Tom is not only a fantastic batter, but a great leader and the perfect role model for the players in our team.
"The skills and qualities he adds are integral to what we are trying to build and achieve at the club, so it's terrific news for everyone that he's staying for at least another three years."
