Sydney Sixers have signed Tom Curran for the upcoming Big Bash campaign.

England international Curran, 23, has signed a one-year deal Down Under and will link up with his former Surrey team-mate Moises Henriques at the franchise.

"I’m absolutely delighted," he said. "Friends and colleagues have told me what a great team environment it is and how passionate the fans are and I’m hugely excited to experience this all for myself.

Curran has not previously played in the Big Bash.

He was due to represent Hobart Hurricanes in the 2017-18 tournament but withdrew after being called up by England.
