Lancashire have announced that Toby Lester will leave the club following the expiration of his current contact.
The left-arm seamer played five first-class matches for the red rose county - taking six wickets since making his debut against Essex in 2015. He also spent some time on loan at Warwickshire in 2018.
Speaking of his departure, Lester said: “I have loved every second of my six years with Lancashire. I owe so much to the club and I’d personally like to thank all the coaches and staff at Emirates Old Trafford, as well as the members and supporters for all their support since I made my debut back in 2015.
“I’m hugely excited to start the next chapter of my playing career now but I will always follow the red rose’s fortunes and wish the club every success.”
In addition to his County Championship appearances, Lester also had 13 outings in the Vitality Blast and was a regular in the squad that reached the semi-finals in 2018. He leaves the club with 15 T20 wickets to his name, picking up career-best figures of 4-25 against Derbyshire.
Lancashire Director of Cricket, Paul Allott, said: “Toby has seen a reduced amount of playing time over the last couple of seasons and we feel now is the right time to let him establish his professional career with another county.
“I would like to thank him for his contributions and wish him all the very best for the future.”
