The Kia Oval will stage a mass Covid-19 vaccination event on Saturday, July 17 as London attempts to 'knock Covid for six.'
The Pfizer vaccine will be on offer at the ground for everyone aged 18 and over between 8am and 8pm. Second doses will also be available to individuals who received their first jab at least eight week ago, before May 23.
Both pre-booked appointments and walk-ins will be accepted at The Oval.
Individuals looking to get their second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be available to do so across the road at Montgomery Hall.
Publicizing the vaccination event, Dr Abdul Mukadam, clinical director of Lambeth GP Federation, said: "Cases are rising fast and there are still a lot of people in Lambeth and across London who have not been vaccinated. Although most younger adults are at less risk of serious illness with Covid-19 it is still hugely important that they get vaccinated to protect their loved ones and their communities as well as themselves.

"Every vaccination is not only a step towards protecting everyone we love, it is also a step towards returning to normal so I strongly urge anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated to get down to The Kia Oval on Saturday and knock Covid for 6."
Meanwhile, Ruth Hutt, the director of public health at Lambeth Council, added: "With every vaccination administered we reduce the risk the virus poses to ourselves, our loved ones and the most vulnerable in our community. We know that two jabs eight weeks apart provide the best protection against Covid-19.
"Anybody who had their first dose at least eight weeks ago should book their second now by calling 119 or on the NHS website www.nhs.uk or by coming to one of our walk-in vaccination clinics. At The Oval this Saturday we will be giving first and second doses of Pfizer, with AstraZeneca available across the road at Montgomery Hall."
To book a vaccination slot, register online at https://bit.ly/ovalvax. Walk-in slots will also be available on the day.
