The England batter is following The Hundred’s Covid-19 testing protocol before re-entering her team environment after attending a family wedding
Tammy Beaumont will miss London Spirit’s first two games after attending her brother's wedding.
The England batter is following The Hundred’s Covid-19 testing protocol before re-entering her team environment, which ruled her out of Friday’s opener against Birmingham Phoenix and Sunday’s clash with Oval Invincibles at Lord’s.
“We recognise that safe living asks a lot of our players, and with their wellbeing at the front of our minds it's right that we support them,” read a statement from a spokesperson for The Hundred.
Gutted to be missing our first #londonspirit game of @thehundred After attending my brothers wedding this week I’m adhering to the comps COVID protocols.

Wishing the girls the best of luck and I know they’ll smash it!! 💪💙
Beaumont scored 88 runs in three games against India earlier this month in the T20I series between the countries, including 59 in a defeat at Hove.
Her absence at Edgbaston meant that Deandra Dottin and Naomi Dattani were carded to open the batting for London Spirit, with Heather Knight at No.3 followed by overseas players Deepti Sharma and Chloe Tryon.
