James Vince was a part of the title-winning Sixers side last season and will play his third successive campaign in magenta
Sydney Sixers have announced that Hampshire and England batsman James Vince will return to the club for BBL 10.
Vince was a part of the title-winning Sixers side last season and will play his third successive campaign in magenta.
The 29-year-old intially joined the franchise in BBL 08 as a replacement for the injured Joe Denly before playing a vital role in helping the side to their second title last year.
He batted at three for most of last year's campaign and is capable of taking the game to the bowler and can steadily build an innings if required, playing both sides of the wicket.
The news means that he will join fellow Englishman Tom Curran - who also returns after helping the Sixers win their second title.
Sydney Sixers head coach Greg Shipperd said Vince brought a wealth of experience to his squad.
“We are delighted to bring James Vince back into the fold at the Sixers,” Shipperd said.
“James was an integral part of our winning squad and we welcome his keenness to continue his BBL journey with us.
“He played an important role at the top of our order and provides on field guidance to our younger players, particularly playing as a vital foil to Josh Philippe.
“He’s also very popular in our group, providing experiences as an English county captain and that helps build our strategic armoury.”
