The pair have not been offered new deals beyond the 2020 campaign, with the Hove club wishing the pair the best for the future
Harry Finch and Luke Wells will leave Sussex at the end of the season.
Neither player has been offered a new contract beyond the current campaign.
Finch, who made his Sussex debut in 2013, has played 53 first-class matches as well as 35 List A contests and 24 T20s.
He endured a tough 2020 campaign, averaging just 25.90 in the Bob Willis Trophy and 12.33 in the Blast.
"Harry is obviously disappointed to not be offered a new deal," said outgoing coach Jason Gillespie. "He is fantastic around the group, he is a conscientious trainer and he is a very good fielder.
"Ultimately though, Harry’s in the squad to bat and probably didn’t quite get the runs that he would have liked."
Wells has played a central role in Sussex's red-ball fortunes since his debut in 2010, playing 141 first-class matches for the Hove club.
He also featured in 26 List A games and five T20s. However, the 29-year-old has been unused in 2020.
"We gave some opportunities to some other players in the Bob Willis Trophy which Luke was obviously disappointed about, and it’s been a tough year for a lot of players," added Gillespie.
"Luke falls into that category, there’s no doubt about that. Unfortunately, there’s just not a spot in the squad for him moving forwards.
"We genuinely wish Luke all the very best in everything he does in the future – both on and off the field."

Luke Wells of Sussex is an odd one to sack because is only 29 and he has a better fC record than many other specialist county batsmen. Viz: Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave 100 50 141 237 16 7779 258 35.19 18 33

It is the unseen side of professional sport that nobody pays much attention to. I wish the Sussex pair all the best and I am sure Jason Gillespie does. I will never forget the despair that Jim Foat had after being sacked by Gloucestershire at the age of 26 in 1979. In hindsight they probably kept him on two to three years too long (although from memory he got two tons in his last two years)- but he provided a 10-year-old with a treasured memory - his electric fielding in the 1973 Gillette Cup Final. The cynic in me (derived from many years experience) knows that many organisations do not care a jot when somebody average or moderate leaves their organisation. I am sure that Wells and Finch will not be as vulnerable as Foat was - the PCA in 1979 was not so geared as it is nowadays to helping cricketers when they leave the game.

It’s a sad day for Sussex two homegrown lads make it worse they both still had something to offer if Luke’s case he was never in the squad all season which was a complete joke
