An assessment found that the extension of her elbow exceeded the 15 degree threshold
Southern Vipers allrounder Maia Bouchier has been suspended from bowling in ECB competitions following an independent assessment of her bowling action at Loughborough University.
The suspension comes after Bouchier, who is predominantly a batter, was reported by the umpires standing in the Southern Vipers' match against Western Storm in Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy match at Bristol on August 31.
The subsequent assessment found that the elbow extension in her elbow exceeded the 15 degree threshold as defined in the illegal bowling regulations.
The 21-year-old has been advised to undergo remedial work on her bowling action before requesting a re-assessment of her bowling action.
