Former South Africa and Kent allrounder Ryan McLaren has announced his retirement from first-class cricket in a post on Twitter.
McLaren played in two Tests for his country, making his debut against England in 2010 and the playing a second Test in 2014, scoring 47 runs overall and taking three wickets in those matches.
"I have learned from many to know when it's the right time," his post read. "The time has come for me to retire from first-class cricket. I'm grateful to share a changeroom with some of the best our country has produced.
"Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the support I have had from my wife, family, coaches and teammates both in SA and in county cricket. I have absolutely loved every part of what this game has taught me…time for some white ball fun now."

The 35-year-old featured for three different sides in County Championship during his career: Kent, Hampshire and most recently Lancashire.
During six seasons he made 70 appearances in the competition, scoring 2,419 runs and taking 246 wickets.
Overall, he played 154 first-class matches, scoring 6,298 runs at 33.86 and taking 459 wickets at 27.29.
