The National Cricket Academy refused to assess the seamer's physical well-being after he sought third party advice over his recovery from a stress fracture
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is promising to take action amid the confusion created by the National Cricket Academy's refusal to conduct a fitness test on Jasprit Bumrah.
The India seamer has been recovering from a stress fracture in his lower back and has not played since the conclusion of the second Test against West Indies in early September.
Bumrah sought third-party medical advice during his rehabilitation, including going to the UK to see specialists, but was due at the NCA for a mandatory assessment.
But the Rahul Dravid-run centre outright refused to oversee the evaluation having played no part in Bumrah's recovery up until this point.
Following the conclusion of the one-day international series against the Windies on Sunday, India are back in action in January with white-ball matches against Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand.
If Bumrah, 26, has any ambition of being considered for those matches or for future games he must be passed fit by the NCA before he can be selected by India.

Ganguly has pledged to investigate why the fitness test did not take place.
"I will find out what exactly is the reason," the BCCI chief said. "NCA has to be first and final point of every international cricketer.
"It's just been a couple of months since I have taken over. I will speak to Rahul (Dravid). I met him a few times. We will understand the problem and solve it.
"From outside, and who has not seen this very closely, Bumrah has been injured for a while. I was not part of the system while he was sent.
"What happened? But if you ask me, NCA is a place for Indian cricketers. Everything has to go through the NCA so we will find out."
