Mahmood joins Peshawar Zalmi after Livingstone was called up by England to tour South Africa

England seamer Saqib Mahmood will replace England and Lancashire teammate Liam Livingstone at Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming Pakistan Super League playoffs.

Mahmood joins Peshawar Zalmi after Livingstone was called up by England to tour South Africa as part of the ODI squad.

The 23-year-old has taken three wickets in six T20 internationals for his country and a further 20 wickets for Lancashire with best figures of 3 for 12.

Reacting to the news, Mahmood tweeted: "First time back in 10 years, can't wait!"

Livingstone took to Twitter also and wished his teammate the best of luck.

"Loved my time with @PeshawarZalmi good luck to everyone in the finals and let's hope zalmi bring home the trophy good luck to my team mate @SaqMahmood25"

Peshawar Zalmi play Lahore Qalanders in their playoff match on November 14. Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will contest the other playoff on the same day.
