Sunrisers Eastern Cape host MI Cape Town in match nine of the SA20 in 2023.
The start of play is scheduled for 5.30pm local time (3.30pm GMT) on Monday, January 16.
The game will be staged in St George's Park in Gqeberha.
This is bottom against top, with both sides beginning their campaign as many expected once the auction had come to an end and squads had been finalised.
Sunrisers are reliant on Tristan Stubbs, while MI have a bowling attack sufficiently loaded that the decision to rest Jofra Archer and Olly Stone on Saturday meant bringing in Kagiso Rabada for his first game of the tournament, with captain Rashid Khan full of options at his disposal.
Cape Town were beaten by Durban Super Giants on Friday but have otherwise been excellent, hammering Paarl Royals and Joburg Super Kings. Dewald Brevis and Ryan Rickelton have given them a fine platform at the top of the order.
Eastern Cape have been well beaten in both games so far, losing twice against Pretoria Capitals, and need a win fast.

Sunrisers have leaked runs in both games with a bowling attack lacking in star names other than Marco Jansen, with plenty on the shoulders of overseas players James Fuller and Brydon Carse.
But their batting line-up - Sarel Erwee, JJ Smuts, Jordan Cox, Aiden Markram and Tristan Stubbs - will be tested by whichever MI bowlers take to the field. Sam Curran has been expensive so far, but between him, Rabada, Stone, Archer, Rashid, George Linde, Odean Smith and Waqar Salamkheil, Cape Town are full of bowling options.
Because of that cartel, they haven't been massively challenged with the bat in either of their wins.
A cloudy day expected in Gqeberha, with temperatures peaking around 27 degrees Celsius on Monday.
MI Cape Town have decisions to make around the make-up of their bowling attack, with Archer and Stone given a break for their win on Saturday. Neither were missed in another clinical bowling effort. Liam Livingstone is yet to feature.
Sunrisers have their own dilemmas as they look for a winning formula.
