Paarl Royals will host Joburg Super Kings in match four of the SA20 in 2023.
Start of play is scheduled for 1.30pm local time (11.30am GMT) on Friday, January 13.
The game will be staged in Paarl at Boland Park.
Paarl Royals have already played their first game of the 2023 SA20, losing to MI Cape Town after an impressive return to action for England seamer Jofra Archer, who took three Paarl wickets. Paarl have a stacked batting lineup with the likes of Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan, David Miller, and Jason Roy. Despite the talent in their ranks, their batting failed last time out as they only managed 142 from their 20 overs.
Buttler and Miller showed some form with the bat. Buttler scored 51 at a strike rate over 120 while Miller was the only other noticeable contribution, with 42 at a strike rate over 135.
Joburg Super Kings will be full of confidence going into their second game after seeing their opponents already fail. Joburg are owned by the same owners of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Faf du Plesssis is the star man and captains Super Kings. Joburg were victorious in their first game of the SA20, as Donovan Ferreira stole the show with 82 not out off just 40 balls in a 16-run win over Durban Super Giants.

Jos Buttler versus West Indies quick Alzarri Joseph promises to be an intriguing battle. The two will face off at the top of the innings with Buttler sure to open the batting once again, while Joseph has the speed and skill to keep the World Cup winner awkward in the opening powerplay.
Joseph has 84 wickets in 69 T20 matches at an average of just under 24. Buttler averages just shy of 35 in T20 cricket at a strike rate of 145.22.
A dry day is expected in Paarl, where temperatures could touch 29 degrees Celsius at the start of play.
After their loss in their first game the Royals will be looking for a response from their side. This could see some changes occur on the bowling front as they struggled to make an impact last time out. Super Kings will have no need to change their side after such a dominant performance last time out.

The strength of the Paarl batting line up surely can't falter again. Despite the quality of the Super Kings' performance in their first outing, back Paarl to right their wrongs and put in a performance of real intent.
