Ruaidhri Smith has signed a new one-year contract with Glamorgan which will see him remain with the club until at least the end of the 2022 season.
The 27-year-old allrounder, and Glamorgan academy product, has made 30 first-class appearances, taking 68 wickets at an average of 34.25. With the white ball, he has taken 24 wickets in 30 T20 appearances at an average of 30.
Glasgow-born Smith has also made two ODI and two T20I appearances for Scotland, taking one ODI wicket against Afghanistan in 2016.
Commenting on his new deal, Smith said: "I’m delighted to have re-signed for the club. It’s been a frustrating spell with injuries, but when I have been fit, I’ve felt I’ve bowled well and put in some strong performances for the team.
"I’m a Cardiff boy and Glamorgan fan and it’s always been a dream to represent the county and I look forward to continuing that next season."
Director of cricket, Mark Wallace, added: "Ruaidhri has had a difficult time with injuries but when he’s been fit he has demonstrated what a talented player he is.
"Although he hasn’t played much this year, he showed what a good T20 bowler he is and certainly has the skill set to be a key player for us in all formats."
