CP Rizwan, who took over as captain from Ahmed Raza in August, will lead his side in Australia
The United Arab Emirates have named their squad for the 2022 T20 World Cup, with Rohan Mustafa a notable absentee.
The 33-year-old is his side's most capped player in T20Is, appearing 55 times between March 2014 and August 2022, and also tops the run-scoring charts with 984 runs, including four half-centuries.
He was, however, recently dropped from the playing XI during the Asia Cup qualifiers.
CP Rizwan, who took over as captain from Ahmed Raza in August, will lead the UAE in Australia, with Vriitya Aravind serving as his vice-captain.
The UAE are set to make their first appearance at a T20 World Cup since 2014, with the tournament representing a valuable opportunity to "showcase" the country's talents according to head coach, Robin Singh.

"This team has a solid representation of experience and youth. It must be emphasized that UAE Cricket's youth have continued to show their worth at various successful ICC and Asian Cricket (age-group) campaigns, and, it is their time to showcase these proven talents to the cricketing-world alongside those (selected) experienced players," he said.
"To represent your country is of great pride and our (coaching) team has complete belief in the maturity and skills of this group of players, and we expect them to surprise a few teams with their performances."
The UAE have been placed in Group A alongside Namibia, Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Their first match will come against Netherlands in Geelong on October 16.
