Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad 182-6, Lucknow Super Giants 185-3 – Lucknow Super Giants won by seven wickets

A late flourish from Nicholas Pooran helped Lucknow Super Giants complete a seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Pooran, batting at No.5, blasted 44 runs off just 13 deliveries to see his side home with four balls to spare.

Chasing 183, the Super Giants struggled early on, losing Kyle Mayers for 2 (14) in the fourth over and only scoring 30 runs off the powerplay.

Quinton de Kock was the next to depart, falling for 29 (19) in the ninth over, before a 73-run stand (43 balls) between Marcus Stoinis (40 off 25) and Prerak Mankad (64 not out off 45) finally sparked the chase into life.

Abhishek Sharma removed Stoinis for 40 (25) in the 16th, with 56 runs still required for victory, before Pooran's supercharged cameo turned the game on its head and secured the two points for the Super Giants.

Earlier, Sunrisers struggled to form any lasting partnerships with the bat, with wickets falling every 30 runs or so following the early exit of Sharma.

Anmolpreet Singh (36 off 27), Rahul Tripathi (20 off 13) and Aiden Markram (28 off 20) all failed to kick on from promising starts and when Krunal Pandya struck twice in two balls to remove Markram and Glenn Phillips in the 13th over, the home side found themselves five wickets down with just 115 runs on the board.

However, a 58-run sixth-wicket stand between Heinrich Klaasen (47 off 29) and Abdul Samad (37 off 25) helped Sunrisers to a competitive total.
