Hesson parted ways after 10 months at the helm, during which the franchise finished sixth in the Indian Premier League
Mike Hesson has stepped down as Kings XI Pubjab coach after 10 months in charge.
Hesson parted ways after one season at the helm, during which the franchise finished sixth in the Indian Premier League.
He revealed the news via a statement posted to social media on Thursday.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Kings XI franchise and wish to thank them for the season I had in charge," he said.
"Whilst disappointed not to be able to build on the work we did this year, I'm sure success isn't too far away for them. I wish them all the best for the future."
Hesson moved to Kings XI having resigned from his role as New Zealand coach, which he left citing a desire to spend more time with his family.
He has been linked with the vacant Bangladesh job.
The IPL side have yet to comment.
